At Blossom Bay Nursery, we want every child to feel welcomed, understood and able to participate. We work in
partnership with families to recognise children’s strengths, understand emerging needs and put appropriate
support in place as early as possible.
How we support children
- A key person who knows the child well and works closely with the family
- Observation and assessment through everyday play and routines
- Reasonable adjustments to the environment, experiences and communication
- Individual strategies or plans where helpful
- Partnership with our Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO)
- Collaboration with the local authority and relevant professionals, with parental involvement and
- appropriate consent
- Support for transitions into, within and beyond the nursery
